Last updated: 2026. Hymn & Hue is a product of Well Made Decisions LLC ("we," "us"). By using the service, your church ("you") agrees to these terms.
1. The service
Hymn & Hue is a hosted platform for running a church visual and literary arts ministry: collecting submissions, curating and approving them, publishing a gallery, generating identification cards, and keeping an archive.
2. Your content and ownership
Your content is yours. The church and its artists retain all rights to the images, descriptions, audio, and other material submitted ("Your Content"). Artists retain the rights to their own work. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the service to you. We do not sell Your Content, share it for advertising, or use it to train any model. You are responsible for having the right to submit any material, and for not submitting anything unlawful.
3. Curation and control
Nothing becomes public until a church leader approves it. The church controls what is displayed, for how long, and what comes down. An artist may hide or permanently delete their own submissions, and an admin may hide or remove any submission in the church. Deletion is permanent.
4. Selling artwork
Pieces default to "not for sale." Whether artists may offer work for sale is a setting the church controls. When a piece is for sale, the artist transacts directly with the buyer off the platform. We are not a party to any sale, we do not process those payments, and we take no commission.
5. Billing
Plans are offered two ways: an annual plan (our best rate, shown as a per-month price and billed once a year) or month to month at a higher monthly rate. Annual plans are prepaid for the year. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each term at the then-current price unless you cancel before renewal. You authorize us to charge your payment method for each term, and you are responsible for any applicable taxes.
Upgrades. When you move to a higher tier, we bill the new plan for a full 12 months and add any time remaining on your current plan onto the end of the new term, so you keep continuous access and lose no time you have already paid for. For example, if you start on September 1 and upgrade on September 15, your current month runs through September 30, the new annual plan begins October 1, and you have continuous access through the following September. Billing questions go to payments@hymnandhue.org.
6. Refunds
Annual plans are generally non-refundable once the term has begun; canceling stops the next renewal rather than refunding the current term. Month-to-month plans can be canceled to stop the next monthly charge. If we discontinue the service or terminate your access for our convenience during a paid term, we will refund the unused portion of that term.
7. Data retention and hosting after non-payment
While your subscription is active, we keep and host your content so your gallery, cards, and archive remain available. If a payment lapses or you cancel, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which everything stays live and you can resubscribe with no loss. After that, we unpublish the public gallery but keep your archive available to download for a further 90 days so you can export it or resubscribe. That download window is limited on purpose, and these retention limits are enforced automatically. When the window closes, we permanently delete the church's content. We will make a reasonable effort to notify your admins first. You can request an export within that window at privacy@hymnandhue.org.
8. Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and in keeping with its purpose. Do not submit material you do not have the right to share, or content that is unlawful. We may remove content or suspend access to protect the service or its users.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Well Made Decisions LLC from claims arising out of your use of the service, Your Content, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
11. Changes and termination
We may update these terms on notice, and we may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or to protect the service. If we terminate your paid access for a violation, no refund is due.
